Dr Jane Lawrence is an experienced General Practitioner who graduated from the University of New South Wales in 1983. Early in her career, she worked in England across geriatrics, psychiatry and general medicine, gaining broad clinical experience before commencing general practice in 1990.
Dr Lawrence enjoys all aspects of family medicine and values providing continuity of care to patients throughout different stages of life. She has particular interests in women’s health, including antenatal care and contraception, and is trained in the insertion and removal of Implanon. Her other special interests include paediatrics, geriatrics and preventative health. As a Family GP, she supports patients with health assessments, immunisations, chronic disease management and a broad range of everyday healthcare needs.
Alongside her work in general practice, Dr Lawrence provides a weekly visiting medical service to St Catherine’s Residential Aged Care facility and holds an appointment as a Visiting Medical Officer at Bathurst Private Hospital. She takes a thoughtful, evidence-based approach to care and values building long-term relationships with individuals and families within the community.
