Dr Binesh Gurung is a General Practitioner who began his medical career in Australia as a Resident Medical Officer at Gosford Hospital. During his hospital training, he gained broad clinical experience across the core areas of medicine before moving to Bathurst to continue his General Practice training.

Dr Gurung enjoys the diversity of general practice and has a broad range of clinical interests. He cares for patients across all life stages and supports individuals and families with preventative health, health assessments, immunisations, chronic disease management, mental health and a wide range of acute and ongoing medical concerns. As a Family GP, he values continuity of care and the opportunity to build long-term relationships with his patients.

Dr Gurung takes a patient-centred and evidence-based approach to healthcare, with a focus on clear communication and understanding each patient’s individual needs. He is settled in Bathurst and is currently undertaking the Practice Experience Program as part of his pathway towards Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. Dr Gurung speaks English and Nepali and enjoys supporting patients from diverse backgrounds within the local community.
