Dr Marcus Hayward is an experienced General Practitioner who grew up in Sydney. He initially completed a Bachelor of Science with a focus on genetics and immunology and worked in medical research before returning to university to study medicine. He completed his early medical training at Concord and Canterbury Hospitals, gaining broad clinical experience across Emergency Medicine, Paediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, and Palliative Care.

Dr Hayward has a broad range of clinical interests and holds additional qualifications in Child Health and Skin Cancer Medicine. As a Family GP, he enjoys caring for patients across all life stages, with a focus on continuity of care, preventative health and chronic disease management. His general practice care includes health assessments, immunisations, children’s health, skin checks and support for a wide range of acute and ongoing health concerns.

In 2018, Dr Hayward made the move to Bathurst with his family. He values being part of the local community and takes a patient-centred, evidence-based approach to healthcare, working with patients to understand their individual needs and support their long-term health and wellbeing.
